UZUMLU

Uzumlu means 'grape', and is a fitting name for this village, renowned for its grape vines and homemade wine.

This pretty village is fifteen kilometres from Fethiye Town, and sits 500 metres above sea level. There are thick pine forests and several streams. The village offers a vision of how Turkey was ten or twenty years ago.
Uzumlu is a typical Turkish village in terms of the lifestyle there and its rural culture, and it's not really a common holiday spot. However, there is a small community of English expats and the tiny village is gaining popularity among those who like to get away from it all.
